Frequently Asked Questions
How many questions are on the CDL School Bus test?
20, and you need 16 right to pass. A few states differ; your state's CDL manual says.
Do I need the passenger test as well?
Yes. The school bus endorsement needs the passenger endorsement's knowledge and skills tests too, then its own knowledge and skills tests (49 CFR 383.123(a)).
Are these the real test questions?
No. They're our own, written from the federal rules and the CDL manual's facts, in the real test's format: three options each and the same number of questions. We're not affiliated with any state, FMCSA or AAMVA.
After the Test
The school bus endorsement also needs the passenger endorsement and a skills test in a school bus, with entry-level driver training first if it’s your first. Entry-Level Driver Training
