Frequently Asked Questions
How many questions are on the CDL Passenger test?
20, and you need 16 right to pass. A few states differ; your state's CDL manual says.
What does the passenger endorsement need?
This knowledge test, then a skills test in a passenger vehicle, with entry-level training before that skills test the first time (49 CFR 383.93(c)(2) and 383.71(b)(11)).
Are these the real test questions?
No. They're our own, written from the federal rules and the CDL manual's facts, in the real test's format: three options each and the same number of questions. We're not affiliated with any state, FMCSA or AAMVA.
After the Test
The passenger endorsement also needs a skills test in a passenger vehicle of your class, with entry-level driver training first if it’s your first. Entry-Level Driver Training
